This is a geographical accident belonging to the snowy Ausangate in the Vilcanota mountain range, it is the fifth mountain of Peru is more than 100km away from the imperial city of Cusco and has its highest point at about 6300 meters above sea level.
Upon your arrival into Cusco City, our representatives will welcome you and then transfer you to your hotel. During the check in you can always grab a cup of coca leafs tea, as it might help you acclimatized to the altitude of the city. Our representatives will be there also to provide you with relevant information about what to visit, different restaurant options offering national or international dishes, exchanges houses, and anything you may need for you to have the upmost comfortable stay.
Take time to relax until is time for us to pick you up and begin with our tour. Around 13:00 – 13:30 pm. you will be picked from your hotel to visit the main attractions of Cusco and its surroundings. Our first stop will be the Cathedral consider Cusco’s most important religious monument, guards amazing murals and paintings framed in gold leaf. Afterwards we will move to the Sun Temple originally called Qoricancha, it was the most important temple during the Incas time; it is located in the center of the city. Our next stop, is to visit the archeological site of Sacsayhuaman, located at 5 km from the city, the entrances are massive stone walls that weights to 120 tons, following our visit we will head to Qenqo, qualified as the amphitheater due to is semicircular construction. Later we will visit Puca Pucara and last but not least Tambomachay a beautiful site well known as a water temple, it is believed that the Incas worship the water there. Once the tour has finished we will take you back to the city around 18:30.
This day we will visit the famous Sacred Valley, worldwide known due to its hidden mystery between myths and legends; it has an impressive beauty and archeological sites. We will pick you up from your hotel around 7:30 – 8:00 am. The first place we will visit is the traditional Pisac market famous by its handicrafts and silverware, and then we will head toward to Pisac ruins located on top of the hill. At this site we will appreciate the amazing agricultural terraces, water fountains, religious center, urban sector and Inca cemetery, our guide will explain more about the Inca’s customs and lifestyle; and also how take as an advantage the resources given by nature.
As we continue with our tour. We will drive along Vilcanota River, where we will appreciate the villages of Coya, Lamay, Yucay that are also part of the Sacred Valley, we will reach Urubamba where you will enjoy of a delicious buffet lunch. Our next stop will be the town of Ollantaytambo, known as the alive Incan town. There, we will visit the archeological site; it’s more important temples and precincts. After this amazing visit, we will move towards the train station to board our train on Aguas Calientes direction, the trip will last about 1:45 min.
Overnight at Aguas Calientes
After you enjoyed breakfast, we will board the bus that will take us to Machu Picchu (2250masl.) this ride will take about 40 minutes. On the arrival to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu you will have a 2-hour guided visit to learn more about its Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Solar Clock, the Urban Sector, the Temple of the Three Windows and an Incan Cemetery. After your guided visit, you will have some free time to wonder around Machu Picchu at your leisure.
At the most opportune time, we will once again take the bus and return down to Aguas Calientes to board the train that will take you to Ollantaytambo train station, where our private transportation is awaiting us to get back to Cusco.
Our tour beings with us picking you up from your hotel from 8:00 – 8:30 am. Our first visit will be to the archeological site of Moray, it is located 1 hour and a half from the Cusco city. This amazing site has unique features, some of the most important chroniclers refer to it as an agricultural laboratory and development center due to the disposition of the terraces that has a circular shape, each one of them possess a different microclimate from very cold to warm temperatures. At this development center, the Incas were able to adapt 350 different varieties of plants that came from different ecological floors.
Our next stop, the Salt mines of Maras here we can appreciate more than 400 wells of salt. This amazing mine salts are located on the feet of the mountain Cachiqata, this mines were valued on the Incan times as much as in the colonial times, as they were used in their daily food and also help with the meat conservation (dehydrated meet). Nowadays, the mines are of great use of the locals, and it is being exported to Europe and Asia.
Our tour begins very early today, as we will pick you up from your hotel around 3:15 – 3:30 am. The rainbow mountain is located on the south of Cusco and the drive will take about 3 hours. Our first point is the local town of Hanchipata, where we will stop to enjoy of a warm breakfast, there we will recover energy and to do some last minute purchases. As we continue with our tour, we will head towards Qesoyuno, the start point of our hike. From there the walk takes 2 hours and 30 minutes until we reach the top, here we will also find horses that you can hire if you are not in the mood to walk, and it is possible to buy some snacks. During our hike, we will be able to encounter snowed peak mountains, colorful landscapes, streams and also Andean animals such as alpacas, lamas, sheep, Andean fox and more. As we ascend, we will notice a change on the weather and the surroundings. The highest point of our walk is 5200 masl, which is the Rainbow Mountain or Vinincunca top, here the temperature will drop considerably and we will have some difficulty with our breathing. Once we have reached it, we will have enough time to appreciate the stunning views and nature of this magical and enigmatic mountain. You can take as many pictures as you want and of course a well-deserved rest.
Afterwards we will be ready for the descent as we head directly to our transportation that is awaiting us. Although from here, we must be careful as the path could be slippery. When we are finally at the transportation, we will be taken to enjoy of a rewarding and delicious lunch after this great adventure. We will be finally returning to Cusco.
Our representatives will pick you up one last time and take you to the airport. We highly recommend you to be 2 hours prior your departure flight.

Huayna Picchu Mountain has a steep and narrow path, in some part of the hike you il encounter stone stairs. The walk takes about 2 hours in total.
